Jennifer Merchant, a political scientist, is a Professor at the Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II, where she is a member of the Center for Studies and Research in Administrative and Political Science (CERSA). Among her publications are Procréation et politique aux Etats-Unis, 1965-2005 (Procreation and Politics in the United States, 1965-2005), Paris, Belin, 2005; and “Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in the United States: Towards a National Regulatory Framework?” International Journal of Bioethics, vol. 20, no. 4, 2010, pp. 41-58. A book she has co-authored with Vincent Michelot, De la Constitution aux droits des femmes aux Etats-Unis: les fondements juridiques (From the Constitution to Women’s Rights: The Legal Foundation), will soon be published by Presses de l’École normale supérieure, Lyon.
