Bernard Thomann

Bernard THOMANN is Professor of Japanese History at Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (Inalco), Paris. His research focuses on the history of labor in 20^th-century Japan.
He is in particular the author of La naissance de l’État social japonais. Biopolitique, travail et citoyenneté dans le Japon impérial (1868-1945), Presses de Sciences Po, 2015.
