Olivier Dorlin trained as a specialist translator in audio-visual adaptations (subtitling) and the new media. He is currently an assistant lecturer in teaching and research at the Universiy of Évry-Sarclay-Paris.
He is a member of the research group (SLAM – Synergies, Languages, Arts, Music) and an associate of the CoTraLiS team (Corpus, Translation Studies, Linguistics, Societies) at the Research Centre for Texts and Cultures (EA4028) at the University of Artois.
His research focuses on foreign languages, translation studies and film studies linked to the ecology.
His thesis is centred notably on the interactions between languages and imagery in several cinematographic works related to different environmental issues.
