Julien Levesque

Julien Levesque completed his PhD in political science at EHESS in 2016 and is currently coordinating the “Politics and Society” axis of the Centre des Sciences Humaines de New Delhi.

His research is part of a political sociology of Islam and Muslims in South Asia. His thesis focused on nationalism and identity construction in Sindh (Pakistan). While continuing to explore political dynamics in Sindh, he is now also interested in issues of caste and political representation among Muslims in South Asia.
