Christian Culas

Christian Culas est anthropologue au CNRS, en poste au Vietnam à l’Institut de Recherche sur l’Asie du Sud-Est Contemporain (IRASEC – CNRS – MAEE, Bangkok). Il est spécialiste de religion et de politique chez les groupes ethniques hmong d’Asie du Sud-Est. Ses projets actuels sont centrés sur l’étude de l’émergence de la société civile au Vietnam, sur l’anthropologie du développement au Vietnam, au Laos et en Thaïlande, et sur l’épistémologie pratique de la socio-anthropologie.
Il est responsable du projet de coopération “Anthropology of Development: Local knowledge and study of development projects in Lao Cai ethnic villages” (2010-2014) soutenue par l’Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
