Emmanuel Beaubatie

Emmanuel Beaubatie has a doctorate in sociology. His thesis, entitled “Transfuges de sexe” (“Gender transfuges”), looked at the lives of trans men and women in France. A prize-winner at the Institut du Genre and the Défenseur des Droits, he is a post-doctoral researcher at INED and a lecturer at Sciences Po and EHESS. He is currently a member of the team coordinating INSERM’s ’Sexualités et santé sexuelle’ (E3S) survey, in which he is working on gender diversity. His recent publications include ’L’espace social du genre. Diversité des registres d’action et d’identification dans la population trans’ en France" in the journal Sociologie (2019).
