Janina Kehr is a medical anthropologist and lecturer in the History of Medicine Section at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She was awarded a Ph.D. in anthropology from the EHESS Paris with a dissertation on the fight against tuberculosis in 21st century France and Germany. She is now working on the biopolitics of austerity in contemporary Europe, particularly Spain and the UK.
