Who we are

is a magazine of analysis and information regarding debates of ideas. Created through the initiative of a group of intellectuals from all disciplines, this publication is non-partisan and entirely free of charge.

Its aim is to offer quality information on intellectual life and the latest publishing news from France and around the world, as well as to make contributions on the major issues of our time in the form of in-depth essays, short analyses and public discussions. In the age of the Internet, laviedesidees.fr wants to be both a place of open circulation and of collective and rigorous production.

In this way, intends to meet the demands of a public debate open to all. It also intends to contribute to the diffusion of substantive critique on works of the mind.

is mainly composed of three sections:

IDEAS AROUND THE WORLD : A regular column on intellectual life beyond French borders.

ESSAYS AND DEBATES : Previously unpublished essays written by specialists of all disciplines, as well as the first conclusions of upcoming works; we aim to provide sharp analyses and multipartite debates on contemporary issues.

BOOKS AND STUDIES : Numerous columns on books and studies in the disciplines that constitute scientific life (economics, sociology, political science, history, philosophy etc. without leaving out hard sciences and technosciences).
